Frances Volkmann

Funeral services for Frances (Sanders) Volkmann, 85, of Claremore, OK, were held Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Rose Hill Cemetery Chapel of Peace in Tulsa, OK. Brother Donnie Sanders officiated, and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulsa, OK. Casket bearers were Angelita Martinez, Alicia Martinez, Andrea Martinez, Rick Stahl, and Todd Dreager.

Frances was born August 6, 1937, in Claremore, OK, to Tim and Lizzie (Dodson) Sanders. She passed away September 19, 2022, in Tulsa, OK.

Frances enjoyed playing SkipBo, and spending time at the casino. She also enjoyed watching her favorite soap opera Monday-Friday between 1 pm – 2 pm in the afternoon.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Martinez of Claremore, and Mary Cummings and husband, Thomas of Park Hill; grandchildren, Angelita Martinez of Claremore, Alicia Martinez of Claremore, Andrea Martinez Toto of Claremore, and James Anderson of NY; great-granddaughter, Hannah Anderson of Tulsa; family members, Rick and Melissa Stahl of Stilwell; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tim and Lizzie Sanders; sister, Katherine Weese; and several other relatives.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
