Frances P. Selvidge

Funeral services for Frances P. Selvidge, 88, of Sperry, OK, were held Monday, August 10, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Elder Charles Rowden officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Matt Dunn, Jimmy Linduff, Randell Dunn, Roger Dunn, Floyd Johnson, and Randy Dunn. Honorary Casket bearers were Stanley Noonkester, Doug Noonkester, Amanda Dunn, Gary Mackey, Kirk Wells, Dick Wukits, Ron Dunn, Barbara Royer, Micah Christian, Mason Dunn, Jaxon Dunn, Lori Sprung, Ryan Gallock, Casey Canova, Magan Garces, and Kerri O’Shea.

Frances was born November 14, 1931 in Roswell, NM. She passed away August 4, 2020 in Tulsa, OK.

Frances owned and operated Old Sew and So’s in Sperry. From 1962-1972, Frances served as President of the Babe Ruth Baseball League in Fresno, CA. She also served as Treasurer of the Men’s Senior Baseball League in Tulsa. Frances was a member of the Sperry Merchant’s Association and the Sperry Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Selvidge; daughter, Barbara Royer; sons, Ron Dunn and wife, Cindy, Randy Dunn and wife, Patty, and Roger Dunn and wife, Kay; stepsons, Jerry Selvidge and wife, Phyllis, Bart Selvidge and wife, Lisa, and Brett Selvidge and wife, Julie; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Steve Slaughter; sister, Carolyn Coughlin; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Matthias Dunn; brothers, Ted Noonkester, Kenneth Slaughter, and Jimmy Slaughter; sisters, Brenda Starr, and Burma Williamson; and parents, Robert and Ellen (Dawson) Noonkester.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
