Frances Irene Scott

Funeral Services for Frances Irene Scott, 92, of Tulsa were held Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. The Reverend Corlis Smith officiated and burial was in the Powell Cemetery in Hominy, OK. Casketbearers were John Reynolds, Jack Reynolds, Scott Reynolds, Kasey Reynolds, Mike Scott, and Joshua Scott. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Irene was born September 24, 1915 in Tulsa, OK to John Willis and Bertie Estell (Doerr) Thomas. She passed away September 10, 2008 in Tulsa, OK, surrounded by her loving family.

She retired from Mass Mutual Insurance where she worked 30 plus years as an administrative assistant. She enjoyed traveling, reading and crocheting. She was a grand lady, loved by all who knew her. She had a sharp mind and an excellent memory for events, dates, locations, names and stories up to her passing. She will be sorely missed by all.

She is survived by her sons; John J. Reynolds and wife Mary G. of Cleburne, TX., P. Michael Scott of Tulsa, Randolph Scott of Tulsa; grandsons, John Reynolds, Jr. and wife Katherine of Cleburne, TX, Jack Reynolds of Arlington, TX, Joshua Scott of Tulsa, Larry Scott and wife Louise of Phoenix, AZ, Robin Scott of Phoenix, AZ; Granddaughter, Kathy Johnson from Garland, TX; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; John and Estell (Doerr) Thomas; husbands; Norman Reynolds and Paul Scott; son, Paul Scott; great-granddaughter; Terrel Reynolds; and brother, Lester Thomas.
