Etha Annette Shaw

Memorial services for Etha Annette (James) Shaw, 54, of Sperry, were held Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Sperry Christian Church in Sperry, OK. Pastor Adam Stang officiated.

Etha was born July 4, 1962 in Tulsa, OK to George and Helen (Green) James. She passed away April 13, 2017 in Sperry, OK.

When she was younger, Etha attended Sheridan Road Baptist Church in Tulsa. She completed secretary school and went on to work at the Tulsa Credit Bureau, Walmart and the St. John Business Office. She was a member of the Choctaw Nation. Because her birthday was on the 4th of July, it was always her favorite holiday. She was called “Yankee Doodle Baby” by her family. Etha enjoyed working in the garden, reading the Bible, watching daytime court TV, and going on motorcycle rides. She enjoyed being outside and loved sunbathing. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, George Shaw; children, Ashley Abbott, Megan Abbott, Austin Kirkpatrick and Jackie Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, Konner Neal, Jackson Neal, Prestin Robinson, Avri Robinson; sisters, Cathy Card and Janeane Gann and husband Richard; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen James; and brother, Danny James.
