Funeral Services for Elsie Alma Reamy, 96, of Sperry, were held Thursday, February 5, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Sperry, OK. The Reverend Andy Anquoe and Reverend Don Queen officiated and burial was in the Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook, OK. Casket Bearers were Jim Burt, Sam McReynolds, Perry Seritt, Andrew Reamy, Greg Delozier, and Christopher Nester. Honorary Casket Bearers were Jimmy Crank and all of the grandsons. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
Elsie was born November 10, 1912 in Clarksville, AR to Charlie Jackson and Myrtle Margaret (Crook) Hardgrave. She passed away February 2, 2009 in Sperry, OK.
She worked as a cafeteria cook for 16 years for the Sperry Public School System. She was a member of the First Baptist Church for 45 years. She loved and cherished her family and church friends. Elsie loved to sew and quilt....in fact the quilt that covers her casket is one that was stitched by her own hand. Elsie was "Mama" not only to her children but also to several nieces and nephews, who loved her very much.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Reamy of Coweta, Jack Reamy of Vian, Timothy Reamy and Anthony Reamy both of Sperry; daughters, Shirley Delozier of Ada, Janice Seritt of Skiatook, Sandra Bowman of Tulsa, Charlotte McAlvain of Sperry, Peggy Nester of Broken Arrow, and Jennifer Rock of Phoenixville, PA; 28 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J Reamy; granddaughter, Andrea Leigh Bowman; grandson, Gerry Delozier; great-grandson, Holden Reamy; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
