Funeral Services for Elizabeth Carol (Ferguson) Dickson, 76, of Skiatook, were held Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Community of Christ Church in Sperry, OK. Family friend, Reverend Bruce Davis from Altus, OK assisted by Elder Phyllis Gaddy, officiated the celebration of Elizabeth's life. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home in Sperry.

Liz was born November 27, 1937, in Tulsa, OK, to Ralph and Geraldine (Whisenhunt) Ferguson. She passed away October 5, 2014 in Tulsa, OK.

Earlier in Liz's life, she was in a traveling singing group called the Harmonettes, from Bristow where they sang for many special events, including the Arthur Godfrey Show. Liz was raised in Turley. She graduated from Bristow High School and married her high school sweetheart Will. After her children were in school, she became a Licensed Practical Nurse working with mental health patients. Liz's greatest joys were her caring husband, 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Second to family, she enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, genealogy, and fishing. She was a proud and active member of the Cherokee Nation.

She is survived by her life-long love of 56 years, Will R. Dickson of Skiatook; children, Mike Dickson of Fort Worth, TX, Mark Dickson and wife Gwen of Ponca City, Tonja Branham and husband Tracy of Skiatook, Connie Quarles and husband Greg of Tarpon Springs, FL, and Miles Dickson of Tulsa, OK; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Geraldine Ferguson; and brother, William Ferguson.
