Edward Wayne Young

Graveside services for Edward Wayne Young, 54, of Oklahoma City, OK, were held Friday, October 30, 2020 at Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook OK. Mr. Phillip Johnson officiated. Casket bearers were Altus “AJ” Moore, Al Moore, Altus Moore IV, John, Aidan Meksula, and Cassandra Young.

Edward was born November 5, 1965 in Tulsa, OK, to Leroy Wayne Young and Mable Marie (Burnette) Cope. He passed away October 22, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK.

Edward was a longtime employee of Warehouse Market. He also worked hard on selling produce. Edward loved football and basketball and was an avid OU fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Kelly Swisher of Oklahoma City; daughters, Cassandra Young of Oklahoma City, and Jessica Carrol of Bethany; grandchildren, Aidan of Oklahoma City, Alissa of Oklahoma City and Ansylee of Oklahoma City; sister, Lori Carr of Tulsa; brother, Kenneth “Bones” Young of Tulsa; ex-wife, Melissa Moore of Oklahoma City; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Young and Mable Cope.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
