Edward Leroy Prock

Funeral Services for Edward Leroy "Eddie" Prock, 73, of Sperry, were held Saturday January 24, 2009 at the Community of Christ in Sperry, OK. The Reverend Charles Rowden and Roy Gaddy officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket Bearers were Dustin Prock, Reb Prock, Brandon Phillips, Rachel Prock, Christopher Phillips, Haylee Prock, Robert Weber, and Tiffany Trail. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Eddie was born February 10, 1935 in Sperry, OK to John W. and Delia Ethel (Haliburton) Prock. He passed away January 21, 2009 in Sperry, OK.

Eddie was youngest of 4 siblings and graduated from Sperry High School class of 1954. He was an avid supporter of the Sperry wrestling program. Eddie was a proud member of the round table. He worked as a machinist then as a self-employed carpenter, who loved to tell jokes, tease, and call all kids "bucket heads." Eddie liked to play Santa Claus and the Commode-itar as "Leroy" for all the kids. He also took his sons around on Mayday to deliver flowers to the elderly. Eddie never met a stranger and was a very kind and generous man who was loved by all. He never met a stranger. His laughter was infectious and he loved to make other people laugh. He will be missed by the entire community.

He is survived by his wife Carmen Prock of the home; son, Darrin Prock and wife Lisa of Sperry; grandchildren, Dustin Prock, Brandon Phillips, Christopher Phillips, Haylee Prock, Reb Prock, Rachel Prock, Tiffany Trail, and Robert Weber; great-grandsons, Dawson Prock, Cayden Prock, Nathaniel Trail, and Caleb Prock; sisters, Ozella Lamphre of Australia, and Freda Carter of Sperry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Delia Prock; son Rory Prock, and brother John L. Prock.
