Flo was born May 9, 1932 in Byers, TX to Alvin Elmore and Maude Mae (Hudson) Snider. She passed away February 12, 2013 in Owasso, OK at the age of 80.
Flo worked as a commercial seamstress at Valhoma for many years. She loved to cook, crochet, plant flowers, and play dominoes and hot dice. Flo also enjoyed watching her shows. Flo won many blue ribbon awards for her crocheting. She would crochet a doily a day, and her afghans were straight as a whistle. If not, Flo would unravel them and continue to do so until they were sewn right. She was also known for her fried chicken and homemade noodles. Not only did it taste wonderful, it was beautiful as well – as though it was cooked to be on display.
She is survived by her children, John Crandall and wife Lori of Tulsa; Jim Crandall and wife, Kendrea of Sperry, Jack Crandall of Tulsa, and Debra Hodge and husband Craig of Sperry; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Trudy Black of Poteau; sister-in-law, Lorraine Kingsley of Saybrook, IL; many wonderful nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Kingsley; parents, Alvin and Maude Snider; sisters, Evelyn Hanks, Rubye Ferguson, and twin, Lois Schuelin; and brothers, Joe Snider and Floyd Snider.
