Memorial services for Doris Elaine (Ball) Kramer, 82, of Shidler, were held Monday, December 21, 2015 at Fairfax Community Hospital in Fairfax, OK. Phillip Johnson officiated and burial was in Fairfax Cemetery in Fairfax, OK.
Doris was born September 21, 1933 in Fort Riley, KS to Emery and Marguerite Ball. She passed away December 10, 2015 in Fairfax, OK
Doris attended St. Mary’s College in South Bend, IN. She was a nurse for 30 years. Three of those years she worked as a nurse for a doctor’s office in Hawaii. Doris loved scuba diving in Hawaii. Doris was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Edward. She wished to express her eternal gratitude to her gentle, caring and caregiving doctors, nurses and staff who were also her best friends at Fairfax Community Hospital. Doris loved her home and her family and she lived for them. She was a partner and co-owner with her husband in Kramer Trucking in Tulsa. She attended truck driving school in Drumright, and owned her own truck and also did the bookkeeping for the business. After her retirement in 1980, she became a dedicated housewife. She was also a city council member for the City of Shidler for several years.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Kramer, Jr. of Shidler; sisters, Dotsy and Sharon; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Emery; mother, Marguerite; and sister, Dorothy.
