Donna Fern Steele

Funeral services for Donna Fern (Taylor) Steele, 77, of Tulsa, were held Friday, May 12, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Pastor Barron Longstreth officiated and burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, OK. Casket bearers were Bradford Steele, Jr., Matt Long, Jeffrey Steele, Tim Gartland, Jacob Meier and Chris Meier.

Donna was born January 7, 1940 in Tulsa, OK to Pete Tilman and Alice Jennie (Johnson) Taylor. She passed away May 9, 2017 in Tulsa, OK.

Donna was a textile supervisor for Goodwill and a wonderful caretaker of her family for over 30 years. She was affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church and baptized for remission of sins in Jesus’ name. Her biggest accomplishment was fulfilling her God-given earthly duties as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was known for her famous stuffing recipe. Her favorite pastimes were sewing, quilting, crosswords, and going shopping at thrift stores on senior days.

She is survived by her son, Brad Steele, Sr. of Tulsa; daughters, Roberta Ballard and husband Jim of Owasso; grandchildren, Dena Meier and husband Chris of Tulsa, Jeff Steele of Tulsa, Jennifer Long and husband Matt, of Tulsa, Victoria Steele of Tulsa, David Lane and wife Shawna of Sapulpa, Jessica Ford and husband Mark of Broken Arrow and Bradford Steele, Jr. of Tulsa and Lisa Gartland and husband Tim of Tulsa; great-grandchildren, Jacob Meier, Taylor Meier, Tristan Meier, Josiah Steele, Alexa Steele, Isaiah Steele, Kailyn Steele, Tyler Steele, Lucas Long, Joseph Long, Aiden Lane, McKayla Ford, Aiden Ford, Connor Lane, Sarah Lane, Logan Ford, Titus Ford, Myranda Huskey and Kameron Bell; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Waldo Steele, Jr.; parents, Pete and Alice Taylor; sister, Juanita Pepper; brothers, Delmar Taylor and Donald Taylor son, Donald Steele.
