Funeral services for Donald Nick “Donnie” Remund, of Langley, were held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at First Christian Church in Langley, OK. Reverend Joel Rutherford officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Jeff Remund, Johnny Williams, Charlie Remund, Jason Swanson, Earl Baldwin, and Jerry Younger. Honorary casket bearers were John Williams, Wheels Francis, Lawrence Langley, and Melvin Blue.

Donald was born October 1, 1947 in Fort Sill, OK to Jack Remund and Leyda R. (Possenti) Bryant. He passed away October 17, 2012 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 65.

Donald was known by many as “Screemin Remund” or just “Donnie”. He was the eldest of three children. Donnie attended high school in Vinita and was drafted into the Army a short time later. He worked as a plumber for most of his life and later retired in Langley where he currently resided. Donnie loved to play pool, play cards, and going fishing out on his boat. He also loved to watch football and was a Kansas City Chiefs fan. Donnie was very involved in the Veteran’s Association. He enjoyed visiting and hanging out with his great friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Nichol Blue; grandchildren, Jason Swanson, Jr. and Drake Blue; mother, Leyda Bryant; brother, Charles Remund; sister, Shirley Williams; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Remund.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
