Graveside funeral services for Donald Lee Jobe "Uncle Donnie", 61, of Sperry, were Monday, January 7, 2008.
The Reverend Luis-Carlos Sanchez officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery at Sperry, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Sperry.
Pallbearers were Thomas Gay, David Jobe, Pat Lloyd, Scott Hilton, Mike Hilton and Justin Glover.
Vocalists were Sharon Harper, Karon Roberts and Melvin Fields.
He was born on January 8, 1946 in Tulsa to Gomer and Fearol (Wadsworth) Jobe. He died on January 4, 2008.
He loved to listen to music and to dance. He loved the Dallas Cowboys. He had the same birthday as his favorite singer, Elvis Presley.
He loved his family at the Skiatook Nursing Home and his family at Good Shepherd Hospice. He loved his special nurse Kathy Stewart who worked at the Skiatook Nursing Home.
At the Skiatook Nursing Home, he would entertain the residents by singing along with the songs of Elvis Presley. He also sang duets with Sherrie Shatwell at the Skiatook Nursing Home.
He is survived by his nieces, Linda Washington and Rhonda Lomax; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gomer Jobe; mother, Fearol (Wadsworth) Jobe; and sisters, Carolyn Jobe and Patricia Jobe. Family and friends can sign the guestbook at www.johnsonfhsperry.com.
