Funeral services for Donald Eugene “Donnie” Cartwright, Jr., 68, of Sperry, were held Monday, May 11, 2015 at Sperry Christian Church in Sperry, OK. Pastor Adam Stang officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were David McBroom, II, Lane Cartwright, Steven Ford, Thad Carter, Micheal Prather, Tyler Arter, and Jesston Bruner. Honorary casket bearers were Rodney Cartwright, David McBroom, James Cartwright, Gary Cartwright, Colton Sheland, and Ronnie Smith.

Donnie was born March 31, 1947 in Tulsa, OK to Donald Eugene Cartwright, Sr. and Imogene (Stockton) Blair. He passed away May 7, 2015 in Sperry, OK.

He is survived by his daughters, Susan Applegate and husband, James, of Peggs, and Gina McBroom and husband, David, of Sperry; son, Rodney Cartwright and wife Stacy of Oologah; grandchildren, Lucretia Simmons and husband, Josh, of Peggs, Justin Applegate and wife, Tiffany, of Locust Grove, Jared Applegate and wife, Kelsey, of Peggs, Derrick Applegate of Peggs, Tiara Ford and husband, Steven, of Hominy, Sabrina Carter and husband, Thad, of Skiatook, Brittany McBroom of Sand Springs, David McBroom, II of Sperry, Lane Cartwright of Sapulpa, Tarryn Bruner of Oologah, and Jesston Bruner of Oologah; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Tommy Blair of Tahlequah, James Cartwright and wife, Heather, of Jenks, and George Curtis of Abilene, TX; step-father, Bob Blair of Tahlequah; 4 nieces; 4 nephews; 8 great-nieces, and 1 great nephew, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandsons; Austin Scroggins, and Dallas Scroggins; mother, Imogene Blair; father, Donald Cartwright, Sr.; step-mother, Betty Jane Cartwright; and sister, Nancy Seaman.
