Donald Wayne Atterbury

Funeral Services for Donald Wayne Atterbury, 47, of Owasso, were held Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. The Reverend Charles Sain officiated and burial was in the Green Acres Cemetery in Collinsville, OK. Casket Bearers were Roger Cagle, Albert Atterbury, Jr., Kyle Jones, and Dale Carmichael. Honorary Casket Bearers were Clayton Pierson and Tony Goodell. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Donald was born September 19, 1961 in Wagoner, OK to Albert Donald Atterbury and Maddi Lee (Hagan) Carmichael. He passed away March 9, 2009 in Owasso, OK.

He was a concrete finisher for many years. He loved studying history, woodworking, playing the banjo and guitar, and going fishing and hunting. He was also a gunsmith, collecting antique guns.

He is survived by his mother, Maddi Lee (Hagan) Carmichael; step-father, Vearl Carmichael; brothers, Keith Atterbury and wife Ginger, Albert Donald Atterbury, Jr. and wife Carrie; sister, Teresa Cagle; aunts, Clarrie, Ruthie, and Mary Jane; uncle, Ewell Gene; great-aunt, Ellen; nieces and nephews, Roger, Vanity, Kyle, Amber, Cody, Kora Bell, and Jacob; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Donald Atterbury; grandparents, Elza and Frances (Beal) Hagan, and John and Lyda (Berryhill) Atterbury; aunt, Carrie Ann Pierson; and uncle, Eddie Hagan.
