Funeral services for Derek Emanuel Fazendine, 25, of Sperry, were held Monday, July 6, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Sperry, OK. Pastor Adam Stang officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Tim Nelson, Mitchell Fazendine, Chazz Brummett, Jacob White, David Dick and Brandon White. Honorary casket bearers were Alex Haney, Donovan Campbell, and Dean Blevins.
Derek was born June 21, 1990 in Tulsa, OK to Phillip Emanuel and Lisa (Wheeler) Fazendine. He passed away June 30, 2015 in Tulsa, OK.
Derek was employed as a waiter at the Paseo Grill in Oklahoma City. He was a social butterfly and loved people. Derek was a great listener and loved making people happy. He loved spending time with family, playing basketball, going to the lake, and hanging out with his friends. Derek especially loved to go fishing with his dad.
He is survived by his brother, Mitchell Fazendine; sister, Sonya Simmons and husband Josh; parents, Phillip and Lisa Fazendine; grandmother, Linda Mayabb and husband Virgil; nephews, Evan Simmons and Jaxon Simmons; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his papa, Fritz Fazendine; memaw, Bea Wheeler; and grandpa, Jim Wheeler.
