Denise (Green) Graddy

Funeral services for Denise (Green) Graddy, 69, of Sperry, OK will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Home in Sperry, OK. Pastor Martin Warren officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Gary Graddy, Tom Graddy, Ryan Graddy, Eric Graddy, Billy Graddy, and Mac Baker. Honorary Casket bearers were Vanessa Martin and Brittney James.

Denise was born October 17, 1954, at St. John Hospital in Tulsa, OK, to Billy Ray Green and Pauline Ellen (Bennett) Edens. She passed away November 1, 2023, in Tulsa, OK.

Her heavenly father called her home to be with her heavenly family. Denise was loved by her family and friends and was a joy to everyone she knew. Denise loved her family and loved to travel. As soon as she returned from vacation, she would begin planning her next trip. Denise also enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren all the time. Denise graduated from McClain High School in 1972. She completed a bachelor’s degree in special education from Northeastern State University. Denise married Gary Graddy on February 7, 1975; they were married for 48 years before her passing. She was a special education teacher for Tulsa Public Schools for over 20 years and retired in 2016.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Graddy; children, Eric Graddy and wife, Amanda, of Skiatook, and Ryan Graddy and wife, Rachael, of Sperry; grandchildren, Garytt Graddy, Gracie Graddy, Miles Graddy, and Matthew Graddy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill Green, and Pauline Edens; stepfather, Earl Edens; brother, Mark “Bubby” Green.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
