Funeral services for Deborah Gail “Debbie” (Hubbart) Long, 70, of Tulsa, OK, were held Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Reverend Daniel May officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Edward “Eddie” Long, Jr., Alex Long, Victor Long, Matthew Long, Sam Long and Daniel Patterson.

Debbie was born on December 27, 1950, in the Panama Canal to Lenard LeRoy, Sr. and Dovie Harriet (Godwin) Hubbart and passed from this life on June 19, 2021, in Tulsa, OK.

Debbie was a devoted nurse for over 20 years of her life.  Debbie loved to quilt, read, tend to her flower garden, eat all the seafood she could get, and be anywhere near the water, especially the beach.  There was always a running joke concerning Walmart and Debbie, that regardless of how bad she was hurting that day, Debbie could disappear inside a Walmart in a flash and sometimes it took us hours to find her.  It was like drawing the short straw on who would take mommy to Walmart, because we knew we would be there forever.  Debbie loved life and will be missed by so many, but we know the suffering is over and she is now in the Lords embrace.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Edward Long, Sr.; children, Edward Long Jr. of Tulsa, Alex Long of Sapulpa, Victor Long of Tulsa, Matthew Long of Sapulpa, Sarah Patterson of Tulsa, and Samuel Long of Tulsa; 5 loving daughters-in-law and one son-in-law; 9 grandsons; 6 granddaughters; and in 2 short months there will be a great-grand baby, Ivy; sister, Linda Wells of Mountain Home, ID; and many other relatives and friends.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Lenard and Dovie Hubbart, and older brother, Lenard Leroy, Jr.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
