Memorial services for Daniel Franklin “Dan” Marr, 61, of Tulsa, OK, were held Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phil Johnson officiated.
Dan was born June 8, 1962, in Denver, CO, to Frank Wallace Marr and Charlene Lenore (Clements) Marr. He passed away April 4, 2024, in Tulsa, OK.
Daniel was a truck driver for 38 years. He enjoyed rebuilding old cars and watching various car shows and home fixer upper shows. Dan was a faithful Broncos fan, and never missed a game, unless the tv kept him from it, even when he was mad at them. Katrina met Dan on the dating app, Meet Me, in October 2012 and it was love at first sight for both of them. They were both at a low point in their lives, so it came to be at that time, they saved each other. Dan told his wife that he wanted them to have a nice home, so he upgraded their home with new electrical, and plumbing and renovated five of the seven rooms. Like any normal relationship, Dan and Katrina got married, then divorced, fought, and argued for a while, then later rekindled their relationship, and remarried. But through it all, they stayed faithful to each other. Sometimes they wanted to kill each other, but at the same time they would defend each other if and when they needed to. Dan and Katrina remained each other’s best friends, partners, lovers, and husband and wife. Their vows were what bound them, wrapped with love. Even though death has separated them for now, they will be together again and nevermore be apart.
He is survived by his wife, Katrina Marr; daughters, Christina and Jennifer; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Vicki and Jackie; brother, Harold; stepsons, Charles and Branden; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Christopher Marr and Jonathan Marr.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
