Cora Ellen (Wallace) Hendricks

Funeral services for Cora Ellen (Wallace) Hendricks, 68, of Barnsdall, OK, were held Friday, April 7, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Pastor Kevin Erickson officiated. Honorary Casket bearers were Matthew Griffith, Chris Wallace, James Beard, Jackie Wallace, Wade Wallace, and Justin Vigil.

Ellen was born May 12, 1954, in Casa Grande, AZ, to Robert William Wallace and Cora Gertrue (Kinser) Wallace. She passed away April 2, 2023, in Tulsa, OK.

Ellen was a loving wife and devoted mother, who loved taking care of her home and her family. Although Ellen was born in Arizona, she spent most of her life in Turley. She was a member of the North Pointe United Pentecostal Church in Sperry. Ellen’s favorite color was purple, and she loved turtles and butterflies.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Hendricks; daughter, Mary Ellen White; grandson, Matthew Griffith; great-granddaughter, Lily Mae Griffith; brother, Robert Wallace and wife, Tammy; sister, Mary Lee Fry; nieces, Leslie King, Angela Havice, Stacey Cantey, Elaine Oates, and Annie Wallace; nephews, Robert Walls, and James Beard, Jr.; and many other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Dale Young, Jr.; parents, Robert and Cora Wallace; and brother, Rudy Dale Walls.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
