Funeral Services for Cloyed Ray Paslay, 71, of Skiatook, were held Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Skiatook, OK. The Reverend Jim Paslay officiated and burial was in the Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook, OK. Casket Bearers were Ryan Crase, Dylan Crase, Kelan Crase, Tyler Pedigo, Phillip Pedigo, and Kent Crase. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Ray was born January 13, 1943 in Pearcy, AR to Alvie B. and Evie Mae (Sanders) Paslay. He passed away May 25, 2014 in Tulsa, OK.

Ray graduated from Fairfax High School in 1961. He attended Northeastern A&M College in Miami for two years where he played football and finished his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing at Central State College in Edmond. He married Donna Faye Duncan on May 10, 1968 in Skiatook. They made their home in Edmond, Russell, KS, and Oklahoma City, before moving back to Skiatook in 1981, where they have raised their kids for 33 years. Ray was a Contract Administrator for Occidental Petroleum Company for 17 years, and Williams Company for 5 years. He loved supporting his grandchildren in all school and sporting activities, spending time at family gatherings where he was always the last to leave, and his OU Sooners. Ray enjoyed golfing and fishing as well. The highlight of the year was planning and attending his class reunion, and going to Big Heart Day to visit with old friends. He was a member of the Mister Bass Coffee Club, where he attended the daily safety meeting in order to solve all of the world’s problems.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna Paslay of Skiatook; daughters, Sandra Crase and husband Kent of Skiatook, and Michelle Pedigo and husband Phillip of Skiatook; grandchildren, Ryan Crase of Skiatook, Dylan Crase and wife Shannon of Parsons, KS, Kelan Crase of Skiatook, Tyler Pedigo of Skiatook, and Raelynne Pedigo of Skiatook; brothers, Horace Paslay and wife Mary of Talala, and Bobby Paslay and wife Joan of Fairfax; sister, MaryLou Brashear of Bartlesville; sisters-in-law, WillaDean Keeler of Skiatook, and Barbara Tiblow of Sperry; a host of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvie and Evie Paslay; and three sisters, Lorene Dunman, Pauline Watson, and Arlene George.
