Funeral services for Cleta Jean (Brimmer) Juby, 86, of Sperry, OK, were held Thursday, June 15, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Sperry, OK. Pastor Rick Casillas and Tim Henson officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Kelly Allen, Kenny Juby, Brandon Allen, Jason Bailey, Tom Stewart, and Bobby House. Honorary Casket bearers were Richard Brimmer, Bill Juby, and Jimmy Miller.
Cleta was born March 21, 1937, in Owasso, OK, to Roy Brimmer and Novella Mae (Miller) Brimmer. She passed away June 9, 2023, in Tulsa, OK.
Throughout her high school career, Cleta had many diverse interests and active involvement in numerous clubs and activities. For all four years, she dedicated her time and talents to the Glee Club and Pep Club, where she could proudly display her passion for both music and school spirit. Notably, Cleta's creative talents shone through as she, along with her other classmates, participated in both the Junior and Senior plays. She was also a Junior Prom Attendant. Cleta even had a crucial role in capturing and contributing photo memories as a member of the yearbook club. Cleta also earned the Dr. Training award as well. Following graduation, Cleta later met Bill Juby and they were married on August 17, 1957. She also embarked on a career path within the housekeeping departments of St. John Medical Center and Saint Simeon's Senior Living in Tulsa. Simultaneously, she remained an active member of the First Baptist Church of Sperry, fostering her faith in her Lord, and contributing to the community. When she wasn’t working or taking care of her family and her home Cleta sat down to watch her favorite soap opera, The Young and The Restless, or immersed herself in the world of various Danielle Steel novels or tackled challenging crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed the art of canning, preserving an assortment of fruits, jams, and other items. When her children were in school, Cleta became a member of the Homeroom Mothers and FFA Mother’s Clubs. Ultimately, her greatest source of happiness came from the precious time she spent with her cherished family and dear friends, nurturing those connections with love and care.
She is survived by her children, Kenny Juby of Sperry, Mary Allen and husband, Kelly of Skiatook, and Carol Juby and husband, Tom Stewart of Collinsville; husband and father of her children, Bill Juby of Sperry; grandchildren, Brandon and wife, Becky, Amy and husband, Jason, Bradley and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Lukas, Madison, London, Danielle, Payton, Vincent, Damon, and Felix; great-great-grandchild, Hunter; brother, Richard Brimmer and wife, Barbara of Edmond; niece, Rhonda and husband, Ronnie and their children of Austin, TX, special angel, Janice White; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Joe Juby; parents, Roy and Novella Brimmer; and grandparents, Frank and Mallie Miller.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
