Charles Homer "Charlie" Vaughn

Memorial services for Charles Homer “Charlie” Vaughn, 75, of Preston, OK, were held Friday, July 28, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phil Johnson officiated. Honorary Casket bearers were Michael Vaughn and Cooper Vaughn-Gilreath.

Charlie was born September 20, 1947, in Tulsa, OK, to Homer Vaughn and Beulah Omega (Marrs) Vaughn. He passed away July 21, 2023, in Preston, OK.

Charlie was member of the US Army National Guard and a Vietnam veteran. He worked for the City of Tulsa for 27 years. He was also a Vanes Cab driver and dispatcher for over  40 years.
He loved to watch his sons play football, watch football, hang out with family and friends, go to his favorite casinos, and help others in need. He had never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Kirk; son, Michael Vaughn; daughters, Melissa Beasley and Tressa Beasley; grandchildren, Courtney Gilreath, Cooper Gilreath, Rebecca Moore, Michelle Harding, Stevie Vaughn, Hayden Vaughn, Trevor, Madyson, Lila, Cookie, Autumn, Audrey, and Aiden; nieces, Phyllis Bateman and Ramona Linkous; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Chuck Vaughn; parents, Homer and Beulah Vaughn; and sisters, Virginia Massey, Loeva. Smith, and Wanda Vaughn
