Charles F Avery

Funeral services for Charles F. Avery, 91, of Turley, were held Wednesday June 24, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phillip Johnson officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK.

Charles was born December 18, 1923 in Owasso, OK to Joseph S. and Dollie M. (August) Avery. He passed away June 18, 2015 in Tulsa, OK.

Charles was a United States Navy veteran (1943-1945). He was employed as a parking attendant for B.B. Parking Lots, Inc. in Tulsa, and also worked for Dow Chemical in Tulsa.

He is survived by his wife, Ramona Avery; daughter, Linda Gloria and husband Phil of San Diego, CA;  grandchildren, Tye Gloria and Todd Gloria of San Diego, CA, Berina Smith and husband Will, and other grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Smith, Alyson Smith, Noah Smith, Helena Linda Marie Gloria, and other great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie Hudson of Garland, TX, Joy Ramer of Strang, Ozema Warren of Tulsa, and Barbara Fisher of Skiatook; brother, Buel Avery of Tulsa; niece, Lily Jo Eslick and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, August Avery; and parents, Joseph and Dollie Avery.
