Memorial services for Carmelita Suzzetta (Costo) Young, 61, of Skiatook. OK, were held Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Jim Crain officiated. Honorary Casket bearers were Robert Young, Mark Pippin, JB Wright III, Morgan Young, Tony Costo, and Carry Johnson.

Carmelita was born September 25, 1962, in Tulsa, OK, to Mary Jo (Pippin) Costo. She passed away December 8, 2023, in Tulsa, OK.

Carmelita was a very family-oriented woman, who loved cooking; it was her love language. She had a magical way with her kids and grandchildren. In her younger years, Carmelita was a well-known fruit peddler and traveled to well over 40 states being the fruit enthusiast she was. In her later years, Carmelita was a chef in many places. She was always the go-to person when anyone had a problem or just needed a friend. To know Carmelita, was to love her. Her favorite hobbies mostly consisted of spending time with her family and watching old westerns 

She is survived by her husband, Robert Young; daughters, Morgan Young and Samantha Young; son, JB Wright III; grandchildren, Jemma Jo Johnson, Rowdy Johnson, and Hayden Johnson; brothers, Tony Costo, and Mark Pippin; niece, Amber Pippin; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jo Costo; and grandmother, Stella Maude Pippin.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
