Buddy Gene “Bud” Corley, 75, of Skiatook, OK was born March 21, 1946, in Rogers, AR, to Roscoe Conklin and Amy Elizabeth (Anderson) Corley. he went to be with his Lord and Savior, January 4, 2022, in Skiatook, OK.
Bud’s mother instilled in him a love for God at an early age, which he passed on to his children and many, many others. He loved talking to and about God and shared his wisdom and knowledge with anyone in need. Bud wasn’t one to sugar coat things and always told it as it was. He had a great sense of humor and if he wasn’t being ornery, people thought he was mad at them. He often said you have to be able to laugh at yourself; if you can’t laugh, life would be miserable. Bud tried to keep you humble. One example of that is when he would say “our grandkids sure are smart…they didn’t get it from the kids did they?” He was a good man who loved his family and God with all his heart.
Per Bud’s wishes he was cremated, and no service were held. The family is planning a remembrance gathering on March 20th, 2022, if you are interested in attending contact a family member closer to that date.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Marilyn “Casey” Corley; son, William “Joe” Corley and wife, Christina; daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Gaddis and husband, Phillip; son, Richard Corley and wife, Shonna; daughter, Mary Ann Dean and husband, Pat; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Charlene Etter and husband, Dan, and Darlene Craig and husband, David; and many other relatives and friends.
He is now rejoicing in Heaven with his mother, Amy; father, Roscoe; brothers, William, Raymond, Bill, and Richard; and sisters, Mildred and Hazel.
