Brenda Kae Drake

Memorial Services for Brenda Kae (Edwards) Drake, 55, of Tulsa, were held Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Church Of The Resurrection in Tulsa, OK. The Reverend Stephen Austin officiated and a private family interment followed. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Brenda was born November 14, 1958 in Loveland, CO to Alvin David Edwards and Betty (Smith) DeSpain. She passed away September 29, 2014 in Tulsa, OK.

Brenda enjoyed attending her church’s women’s prayer group and volunteering at local homeless shelters. She loved spending quality time and visiting with her grandchildren and Ivy Carter and her daughter, Morgan. Brenda was a huge animal lover and would do anything to help any animal in distress. Her love for all animals was unconditional. Her son Dustin was the light of her life. She was so proud of him and all of his accomplishments.

She is survived by her son, Dustin Anderson and wife Mitzi; grandchildren, Brett Anderson, and Emma Anderson; brothers, Timothy J. Mize and wife Cecilia, Tony Mize, and Terry Mize and wife Delia; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Drake; and mother, Betty DeSpain.
