Brenda Gail "Bennie" Christian

Funeral Services for Brenda "Bennie" Gail Christian, 52, of Sperry, were held March 11, 2010 at the Sperry United Pentecostal Church in Sperry, OK. The Pastor Jason Elmore officiated and burial was in the Floral Haven Cemetery in Tulsa, OK. Casket Bearers were Johnny Moss, Dakota Smith, Fred Hunter, Bill Hunter, Brent Fowlkes, and Sean Cunningham. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Brenda was born July 19, 1957 in Tulsa, OK to Earl and Cora Rosella (Spencer) Ecker. She passed away March 7, 2010 in Sperry, OK.

Bennie worked as a manager for Dollar General in Turley. She is most known for owning and operating a daycare in Sperry. She was loved by the children she watched and touched many lives throughout the community. She attended all of the Sperry sporting events, even if her kids did not play that sport. Bennie will forever be remembered as the woman who always wore orange to show her support for the Sperry kids. She will be missed greatly by her family and all of those who were touched by her kindness.

She is survived by her husband, L.D. Christian; son, Justin Christian; daughters, Cori'ell Christian and Lena Christian; grandchildren, Ryan Lang, Micah Christian, and Lexie Hutchison; sisters, Sandra George, Patsy Moss, Mary Trammel, Linda Smith, Earlene Cockrum, Willie Werre, Bobbie Thompson and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Cora Rosella Ecker; two nieces and one nephew.
