Bobby Lee Dunn

Funeral services for Bobby Lee Dunn, 77, of Tulsa, were held Friday, January 13, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phil Johnson officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Joseph Makinson, Mike Makinson, Jack Blue, Kelly Allen, Wayne Dunn and Steven Hayhurst.

Bobby was born October 23, 1939 in Sperry, OK to Otis Byron and Marium A. “Mary” (Poague) Dunn. He passed away January 5, 2017 in Tulsa, OK.

Bobby was retired from Valmont Industries. Bobby built a wrecker from scrap. He loved to go fishing and camping and floating on inner tubes down the Illinois River with his family. He also loved making mac and cheese, macaroons and peanut butter fudge for his grandchildren. He enjoyed going to garage sales with his wife Ilene and making rings and knives out of files.

He is survived by his daughters, Loretta Makinson and husband Mike of Turley, Dian Allen and family; grandchildren, Amy Allen of Skiatook, Laura Makinson of Bartlesville, Brandon Allen of Skiatook and Joseph Makinson of Owasso; great-grandchildren, Tylor Makinson of Bartlesville, Baylie Blocker of Bartlesville and Brittney Makinson of Owasso; sisters, Lou of Borger, TX, and Melba Hayhurst of Broken Arrow; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ilene Dunn; daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Allen; brothers, Leon Dunn, Donny Dunn, Kenneth Dunn, Jr. Dunn; and parents, Otis and Marium Dunn.
