Memorial services for Billy Miles Spicer, 84, of Claremore, were held Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Chaplin Bobby Cooper officiated .

Billy was born September 4, 1926 in Calhoun, KY to Miles and Ruby Lorraine (Gieseke) Spicer. He passed away December 19, 2010 in Claremore, OK.

Billy loved to read books by his favorite author Louis L'Amour. He also loved listening to music, especially piano music. He was a truck driver and an auctioneer. Billy was active in several civic organizations, including the Turley VFW, Turley Lion's Club, and IOOF Lodge #28, and was also a past Grand Master for the State of Oklahoma. He served in the United States Navy during World War II.

He is survived by his daughters, Julia "Judy" Chavez and husband Arturo of Houston, TX, Suzi Luster of Salina, Lisa Aston of Wildwood, MO; grandsons, Larry Dean Carter of Tulsa, Kenneth Wayne Young of Tulsa, Destry Ray Hill, USAF, currently stationed in Afghanistan, Cliff Thomas Hill of Great Falls, MT; several great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Helen (Burke) Spicer, second wife, Alice J. (Cooper) Spicer; daughter, Mary Gail (Spicer) Hill; parents, Miles and Ruby Spicer; and maternal grandmother, Julia Gieseke.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
