Funeral Services for Betty Joan Thulin, 79, of Sperry, were held Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the Sperry United Pentecostal Church in Sperry, OK. The Reverend Wesley Witcher officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket Bearers were John M. Carr, Micky Thulin, Jr., Bill Estes, Scott Hilton, Ted Jones, and Reverend Kevin Neil. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
Betty was born February 6, 1930 in Chelsea, OK to Teddy L and Bertha Mae (Young) Jones. She passed away March 13, 2009 in Owasso, OK.
She worked at the White River Fish Market for several years before retiring. She loved to sew, cook, work in the garden, go fishing, and to read, especially her bible. She also loved to travel. She always wanted her children and grandchildren around her and wanted to cook for everyone.
She is survived by her husband, Milo Thulin; children, Micky Thulin and wife Donna of Midland, TX, Hazel Thulin of Sperry, Sonja Switzner of Tulsa, and Fern Hilton, and husband Mike of Sperry; brothers, Phillip and wife Cornelius Jones of Chelsea, and Harvey and wife Ann Jones also of Chelsea; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Teddy and Bertha Jones; brothers, Paul Jones and Alfred Jones, one infant brother; and two infant sisters
