Funeral services for Barbara Ann Quinton, of Broken Arrow, were held Monday, April 29,2013 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Reverend Adam Stang officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Mike Quinton, Allen Quinton, Logan Sefcik, Jeff Morrison, Earnie Sebree, and Robert Utley.
Barbara was born June 13, 1934 in Sperry, OK to A.C. “Cokie” and Lola (Downs) Vaughn. She passed away April 26, 2013 in Broken Arrow, OK at the age of 78.
Barbara worked at Zebco, Houston, Yellow Cab Company, Southwestern Wire Cloth in Broken Arrow, and she was the matron at the Oddfellows home in Checotah, OK. She was a member of the West Tulsa Rebekah Lodge #64. She collected bells of all shapes and sizes, along with red birds and Indian dolls. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing jigsaw puzzles, word search, and playing games on the computer. Pepsi’s were her passion.
She is survived by her children, Jerry Lynn Quinton and wife Kay, and Chuck Quinton; grandchildren, Michael Quinton and wife Angie, Stephanie Merrill and husband Rod, and Buddy Quinton; great-grandchildren, Logan – age 19, Kaylee Rae – age 18, Madison – age 16, Matthew – age 14, Emma – age 14, Allen – age 14, Ashlynn – age 13, Danny – age 13, Anna – age 11, and Lily – age 10; brother, Ronald Vaughn and wife Linda; nieces and nephews, Jeff Morrison and wife Jessica, Pam Utley and husband Robert, Clarissa “Peanut” Sebree and husband Earnie; and Sammy May; many other relatives and numerous friends, including those she made at Broken Arrow Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Cody Quinton; parents, Cokie and Lola Vaughn; brother, Donald Vaughn; and sister, Virginia Morrison.
