Barbara Ann (McCabe) Thomas

Funeral services for Barbara Ann (McCabe) Thomas, 84, of Sperry, OK, were held Monday, March 18, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Sperry, OK. Pastor officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Brad Holland, Blake Thomas, Steven Holland, Joshua Wagner, Jake Thomas, and Aarron Jackson. Honorary Casket bearers were Jesse Bailey, Tony Bailey, Rex Bailey, Jerry Bailey, and Denton Holland.

Barbara was born July 28, 1939, in Shawnee, OK, to Marion Edmond McCabe and Bessie Delena (Clay) McCabe. She passed away March 12, 2024, in Owasso, OK.

Barbara met and later married Paul Thomas on August 26, 1960, and they were married for 55 years until Paul’s passing in 2015. She wholeheartedly devoted herself to raising her children and maintaining her home. She enjoyed watching and taking care of her grandchildren and loved seeing her great-grandchildren. Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sperry for many years and was one of the “Grub Grannies” ladies that provided meals for families at church events, as well as for those in need in the community
.

She is survived by her children, Paula Holland, Mike Thomas and wife, Toi, and Rick Thomas and wife, Diane; grandchildren, Brad Holland and wife, Natosha, Steven Holland, Michelle Wagner and husband, Joshua, Jake Thomas and wife, Dinda, Crystal Jackson and husband, Aaron, Denton Holland and wife, Shelly, Shelley Bass and husband, Mark, and Blake Thomas; great-grandchildren, Kaidence Holland, Tanner Holland, Hayes Holland, Anna Wagner, Caleb Wagner, Gabriel Wagner, Ezra Wagner, Noelle Jackson, Elijah Jackson, Ashley Holland, Kaylee Holland, Turner Bass and Tracy Bass; sisters, June Petricek, Helen Beaty, and Maezella Bailey; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Thomas; brothers, Arthur McCabe, Ralph McCabe, and Robert Bailey; sisters, Mable McCabe, Wilma McCabe, Cleta Love, and Lavon Kreie; brothers-in-law, Floyd Love, Willfred Petricek, Bill Mitchell, and Royce Beaty; sisters-in-law, Nellie McCabe and Ollie McCabe; son-in-law, Dennis Holland; and daughters-in-law, Sharon Thomas and Amanda Thomas.
