Barbara Ann Fisher

Memorial services for Barbara Ann (Avery) Fisher, 84, of Skiatook, OK, were held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Mr. Phil Johnson officiated. Honorary Casket bearers were David Sisco, Cameron Sisco, Nick Neal, Matt Spencer, Mitchell Sisco, Quique Herrera and Richard Price.

Granny Barb, as she was known, was born January 18, 1936 in Turley, OK to Joe and Dollie Avery, and was the youngest of 7 children. She left this world, Friday, February 14, 2020 in Tulsa, OK.

Barbara resided in Skiatook, OK for over 45 years. Barbara worked at Dorsett in Tulsa, on the family dairy farm, and then as an assembler on trolling motors at Zebco where she retired in 2001 and enjoyed living at her home on the hill in Skiatook. Granny Barb loved to have people come sit on her porch and visit with her, she enjoyed going to the casinos, watching the local bands, and seeing all her friends. She was loved by all and will be missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Janice Zimmerman and husband Larry of Tulsa, Shelly Nichols and Gene McNeal of Skiatook, and Connie Austin of Vinita; her son, Gary Sisco and wife Desma of Baxter Springs, KS; daughter-in-law, Connie Sisco of Moody; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, 1 brother; and many other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her son, Terry Lee Sisco; brothers, August Avery and Charles Avery; sister, Margie Hudson; along with her mother and father.

The family requests that memorial donations in lieu of flowers be made to Clarehouse, 7617 S. Mingo Rd, Tulsa, OK 74133.
