Avis Elaine (Remy) Abbott

Funeral services for Avis Elaine (Remy) Abbott, 64, of Sperry, OK, were held Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Community of Christ Church in Sperry, OK. John King officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Nick Wilson, Bill Bryant, Andy Herman, Steve Dresher, Wes Carr, and Bob Faulkner. Honorary Casket bearers were Kye Clowdus, Dylan Abbott, Kannon Clowdus, Connor Pounds, Cody Williams, Cole Carr, and Dusty Delk.

Avis was born January 21, 1961, in Tulsa, OK, to Jackie Eugene Remy and Minnie Marvelle (Wilson) Remy. She passed away February 3, 2025, in Owasso, OK.

Avis was a co-owner of Abbott’s Sak-N-Pak in Tulsa alongside her husband. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, four-wheeling and working on various needlepoint embroidery projects. She also loved cooking and reading all kinds of books. Most of all, Avis loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Abbott; daughter, Morgan Clowdus; son, Brandon Abbott and wife, Stephanie; grandchildren, Kye Clowdus, Kannon Clowdus, Dylan Abbott, and Connor Pounds; parents, Jackie and Marvelle Remy; brother, Mitchell Remy and wife, Crystal; sister, Mona Burke; uncle, Leon Remy and wife, Sherry Remy; father-in-law, Gus Abbott; brother-in-law, Richard Abbott and wife, Beth; and sisters-in-law, Debra Green and husband, Bill, Cheryl Brooks and husband, John, and Teresa Tabor; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold and Ora Wilson, and Joe and Bernice Remy; son-in-law, Kody Clowdus; mother-in-law, Doris Abbott; brother-in-law, Kenneth Burke; and niece, Emma Jean Remy.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
