Funeral services for Aubrey Jewell Cargill, 86, of Collinsville, OK, were held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Collinsville First Assembly of God in Collinsville, OK. Pastor Jeffrey Bradley officiated, and burial was in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, OK. Casket bearers were Jason Buchfink, Ernie Brazeal and David Brooks. Honorary Casket bearer was Dale Buchfink.
Aubrey was born April 15, 1934in Fletcher, OK, to Jewell Lester and Lillian Marie (Dunlap) Cargill. He passed away December 16, 2020 in Tulsa, OK.
Aubrey proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1952-1972 and retired as a Chief Gunner’s Mate. He was also a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
He is survived by his son, Steven P. Cargill; daughter, Nancy Brooks; grandchildren, Sandy Bond, and Scott Bunch; great-grandchildren, Abbey Hodges, Zachery Riddle, Ethan Riddle, Sara Palanco, Cody Bunch, and Evan Bond; great-great-grandchildren, Elias Hodges, and Elias Polanco; sisters, Zelda Buchfink, Margarett Jones, Loretta Phillips, and Eva Rae Freeman; sister-in-law, Juanita Huey; several nieces and nephews; step-daughters, Brenda Harrison and husband, Ed, and Kay Sneed; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Lois Cargill; son, Rex W. Cargill; grandson, Kevin Riddle; parents, Jewell and Lillian Cargill; sisters, Vivian Womack and Elizabeth “Kay” Henry; brother, Lester Sorrell; and son-in-law, Richard Sneed.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
