Memorial Services for April Faye Scott, 53, of Tulsa, were held Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Canyon Road Baptist Church in Tulsa, OK. The Reverend Mike Peter officiated and a private family interment followed. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

April was born February 24, 1961 in Tulsa, OK to Alvis Ira and Agnes Katherine (Smith) Scott. She passed away August 16, 2014 in Tulsa, OK.

April took care of her mother for six years after her father passed away and considered it a privilege. She loved her dog, Maggie and riding horses. April was a bail bondsman in Tulsa County for a while. She was fearless, independent, judged no one, and wanted to help everyone. She also worked for Directory Publishing for a time; she loved the travel and the people she worked with. April loved watching Joyce Meyers and Joel Osteen. She accepted the Lord at a young age; loved him and never lost her faith in her savior. April read her bible and was a great prayer warrior. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sisters, Geraldine “Gerry” Lawson and husband Greg of Sapulpa, and Joy Williamson and husband Greg of Skiatook; sister-in-law, Yvonne Scott of Tulsa; nieces, Jennifer Lawson of Sapulpa, Karen Brown of Tulsa, Katheryn Nunn and husband Neil of Sapulpa, and India Pillers and husband Chris of Skiatook; nephews, Chad Williamson and wife JJ of Skiatook, Chuck Williamson and wife Christy of Skiatook, and Mike Lawson and wife Gina of Bixby; 17 great-nieces and great-nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvis and Agnes Scott; and brother, Steven Scott.
