April Dawn Lucas

April Dawn Lucas was born May 13, 1955 in Tulsa, OK, to Floyd Junior and Gloria Jean (Padgett) Lucas. She passed away March 14, 2021 in Tulsa, OK.

April graduated from McLain High School and later attended Tulsa Junior College to learn culture. She also attended Tulsa Technology Center learning commercial art. April also worked in a group home for the mentally disabled as well as in-home care for 8 years. Her most recent job was working for Med Corp Health for 20 years. April loved drawing, painting, fixing yard ornaments, and macrame various items. She was a Christian woman, of the Baptist and Catholic faiths. April was a friendly and lovable person who could make friends anywhere she went.

She is survived by her daughter, Noella (Lucas) Martin; son, Donel Lucas; grandchildren, Raney L. Martin, William D. Martin, Jesse R. Martin, Samantha D. Martin, Maria R. Lucas, and Bram R. Lucas; sister, Denise (Lucas) Ruston and Robin Riggs; brother, James P. Lucas; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Gloria Lucas.
