Funeral services for Anna Mae (Tucker) Bratton, of Tulsa, were held Monday, April 16, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Sperry, OK. Reverend Wayne Taylor and Reverend Andy Anquoe officiated and burial was in Charley Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Sam Duren, Brent Twist, Jesse Chisholm, Hugh Robinson, Ricky Juby, and Glenn Miller.
Anna was born September 20, 1932 in Sperry, OK to Amos Lloyd and Bertha (McNair) Tucker. She passed away April 12, 2012 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 79.


Anna was a Licensed Practical Nurse in Albuquerque, NM and a Certified Nursing Assistant at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. She was caregiver who enjoyed taking care of other people. Anna attended Chilocco Indian Boarding School and the St. Louis Females Academy in Pawhuska. She won lots of pool tournaments. Anna loved her beloved birds and dogs, as well as her family and friends. She was a member of the Anchor Baptist Church in Turley and was a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Anna worked every day of her life up until the week before she passed away. She enjoyed reading, going to Pow Wows and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved her Indian kids. Anna had the ability to give you “that look”, and everyone knew what that meant. She touched so many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.


She is survived by her children, William Earnest Bratton, III and wife Diane, Thomas Lloyd Bratton, Vickie Lynn Bratton and LouAnn (Bratton) Duren; grandchildren, Amanda Cline and husband Dan, Carrie Banton and husband Ethan, William Joseph Bratton and wife Amber, Shannon LeAnne Ballinger, Laura Ann Bratton, Carol Jean Twist, Louis Alan Twist and wife Tamera, Brent Lloyd Twist and Sam Duren; great-grandchildren, Lily Cline, Austin Banton, Abigail B. Bratton, Brooklynn P. Ballinger, Cohen P. Neckar; great-grand dog, Beamer Twist; and many other relatives and friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Bertha Tucker.
