Anita Nell Humphrey

Graveside Services for Anita Nell Humphrey, 62, of Sperry, were held Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater, OK. The Reverend Rick Brinkley officiated. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Anita was born September 23, 1952 in Stillwater, OK to Lemuel Leo and Maxine Lucille (Stites) Humphrey. She passed away December 23, 2014 in Tulsa, OK.

Anita was an Oklahoma cowgirl throughout her life. Born in Stillwater, she moved to the Tulsa area to live and enjoy the country life. Anita had a love of barrel racing, horses, dogs, and other animals. She enjoyed time and laughter with friends. Anita worked for American Airlines for 29 years. After retiring from American, she worked for Omni Air for a short time. Anita had fought various cancers starting in 1998. She will be missed by so many people who loved her very much!

She is survived by her sister, Sharon Stingley and husband Byron; aunts, Rose Brock, Charlene Emmons, Ruth Stites, and LaVeda Woolfolk and husband Skip; uncle, Rusty Stites and wife Yvonne; niece, Kyla Stingley; and numerous cousins and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lemuel and Maxine Humphrey; grandparents, Charles and Flossie Humphrey, and Charles and Nellie Stites.
