Alice was born February 21, 1942 in Jenks, OK to Robert and Rose (Hinds) Vanarsdel. She passed away September 18, 2013 in Tulsa, OK.
Alice was a beautiful loving, caring, and giving soul. She loved her family and friends. Alice enjoyed family get togethers and laughing. She had a beautiful voice and in her younger days she grew up singing with her dad and her sister, Lanell. Alice was mild tempered, calm and never raised her voice. She had a big heart and she held back her own fears and stayed strong as she dealt with her health as so not to worry her family. Alice fought a long, hard battle to the end. She will be forever loved and missed more than words could ever express. Although she is on the other side now, one day we’ll again get to see our beautiful Alice singing and rejoicing.
She is survived by her son, Jessy McHuges and wife Tammy of Tulsa; daughter, Doti Sharp of Tulsa, Gayle Miller and husband Mark of Tulsa; sister, Lanell Rios and Husband Jimmy of Tulsa; brother, Raymond Vanarsdel of Tulsa; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Marie Sharp; granddaughter, Melissa DesChamp; parents, Robert and Rose Vanarsdel; and brothers, Bobby Vanarsdel and Jerry Vanarsdel.
