Funeral services for Alice Cristine “Cris” Hopkins, 67, of Sperry, were held Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Community of Christ Church in Sperry, OK. Elder Charles Rowden, Elder Vernon Hogue, and Elder Sandy Hogue officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Kevin S. Hopkins, Brady L. Hopkins, Colin G. Hopkins, Jason M. Hopkins, Joshua L. Hopkins, and Morgan J. Hopkins. Honorary casket bearers were Heather A. Miller, Brad Miller, Sand A. Hopkins, Elicia Hopkins, Amanda Hopkins, Carla Hopkins, Maggie Hopkins, Chery Hopkins, and Cindy Hopkins.

Cris was born July 16, 1943 in Farmersville, TX to Woodrow and Thelma (Holland) Cambron. She passed away December 4, 2010 in Sperry, OK.

Cris married Terry L. Hopkins on May 17, 1962. She was a homemaker and enjoyed all family activities. She liked attending church functions and was a long-time member of the Community of Christ Church. She loved traveling and reading books and periodicals. Cris liked watching movies, playing cards and games, and doing arts and crafts. She enjoyed visiting museums and learning about archaeology. She loved shopping and going to the theatre.

She is survived by her husband, Terry L. Hopkins of the home; sons, Kevin Scott Hopkins and wife Cindy of Cleveland, TN, Brady L. Hopkins and wife Chery of San Jose, CA, Master Sergeant Colin G. Hopkins and wife Maggie of Brussels, Belgium, Sand A. Hopkins and wife Elicia of Bartlesville, Jason M. Hopkins and wife Carla of Louisville, CO, Morgan J. Hopkins of Tulsa, and Joshua Hopkins and wife Amanda of Verdigris; daughter, Heather Miller and husband Brad of Bryant, AR, 20 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; mother, Thelma Cambron of Tulsa; sister, Nancy Vire of Inola; brother, James Cambron and wife June of Sperry; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gary Hopkins and wife Kay of Okay, OK, Robin Hopkins and wife Cathy of Muskogee, and Connie Faulkner of Wagoner; aunts, Opal Deason of TX and Edith Curtis of TX; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Cambron.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
