Funeral services for Alice Katherine Circle, of Tulsa, were held Monday, July 11, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Reverend Adam Stang officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Michael Hipp, Thomas Hipp, Christopher Hipp, Adam Hipp, Jeremy Hipp and Leslie Blakley.
Alice was born March 30, 1940 in Durant, OK to L.C. and Molly Almire (Smith) Lewallen. She passed away July 6, 2011 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 71.
Alice was born in Durant and raised in Turley. She also lived in Tulsa and Ketchum. Alice was a homemaker and loved her family very much. She loved to make raisin pies, watching westerns, and going to garage sales. She was very friendly, she loved people and never met a stranger. Alice enjoyed playing the piano and guitar. She played by ear and never had a single lesson. Alice liked her embroidery and listening to country music. Eddie Rabbit, Johnny Cash, and Dolly Parton were her favorite musicians. She liked to look her best and she always had her hair fixed, and wore makeup everywhere she went. She never looked her age but much younger, and would get compliments all the time on how well she looked.
She is survived by her daughters, Shari Hodges of Turley, and Sandra Blakley of Beggs; grandsons, Michael Hipp of Turley, Thomas Hipp of Hominy, Christopher Hipp of Skiatook, Adam Hipp of Tulsa, Jeremy Hipp of Hominy, Leslie Blakley of Broken Arrow, and Jonathan Blakley of Beggs; granddaughter, Amber Blakley of Tulsa; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Lloyd Lewallen; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwayne Circle; parents, L.C. and Molly Lewallen; brother, George Lewallen; sisters, Letha Crittenden, and Lorene Bickles.
