Funeral services for Melba Lee (Nance) Finnell, 85, of Owasso, OK, were held Friday, December 6, 2019 at Discovery Church in Collinsville, OK. Brother Dan Korver and Brother Fred Williams officiated, and burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, OK. Casket bearers were Dalton Berryhill, Marshall Soetaert, Michael Berryhill, Derek Willyard, Brandon Bence, Chad Watson and Cory Watson. Honorary Casket bearers were Megan Strathe and Nikki Watson.
Melba was born December 17, 1933 in Alton,Missouri, to Roy Melburn Nance and Nola Mae (Custer) Crawford. She passed away December 2, 2019 in Tulsa, OK.
Melba attended Dalton Hill Baptist Church in Owasso and was one of the founding members. She was a co-owner of Spotless Carwash in Tulsa. Melba was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She raised three girls and helped with nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Melba loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Soetaert of Owasso, Diane Berryhill of Owasso, and Terri Watson and husband, Michael Watson of Skiatook; grandchildren, Megan Strathe and husband,Tyler Strathe of Tulsa, Marshall Soetaert of Owasso, Brandon Bence of Tahlequah, Dalton Berryhill of Owasso, Michael Berryhill of Tulsa, Derek Willyard of Owasso, Chad Watson of Owasso; Cory Watson of Owasso, and Nikki Watson of Skiatook; great-grandchildren, Kayla Bence of Broken Arrow, Uriah Willyard of Bartlesville, and Abel Willyard of Bartlesville; brother, Robert Nance of Owasso; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert E. Finnell, Jr.; sister, Sue Kersey; mother, Nola Crawford; and father, Roy Nance.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
